Sometime during 2006 or 2007, I came across the book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne. Its popularity blew up and everyone seemed to be talking about it and the law of attraction. Since then, I’ve periodically read other things similar and would try it here or there. Most commonly, people start with a parking space. You tell yourself that when you go to the mall, for instance, you’ll find a great parking space easily and without a fuss. Once you do that and get a space, the trials at controlling the law of attraction in your life continue.
It’s an interesting concept and one that I believe. A friend of mine has been creating her own “dream boards” for years and swears by them. It’s a great visual to remind her of what she truly wants out of life, no matter how big her dreams are. If you believe it’s attainable, then so be it! Now it should go without saying that your dreams or goals have to be realistic. I mean, I’m not going to envision myself riding a live unicorn and actually expect it to happen, you know what I mean? However, if I picture myself on a unicorn, something realistic could be my riding a unicorn on a merry-go-round carousel, for example. You need to be clear and specific about what you want, while staying realistic and open.
There are tons of ways to channel your energy into the right realms and set up your future to go down a certain path. The question is which way you want to try. About a week ago, I found a book called, “E-squared: Nine Do It Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality” by Pam Grout (Hay House, 2013). I’ve read other books published by Hay House, being a fan of Louise Hay. In this book, Grout lists nine experiments that you conduct which are set up to prove you have more control over your life than you initially thought. Using the law of attraction, you learn to control the energies around you and influences on your life to make your ultimate goals and dreams come true. Sounds good, right? It did to me, too, which is why I figured I’d give it a shot.
I’ll do my best to conduct all nine experiments and will document each one, being totally honest about the outcomes, whether I succeed or fail. I’ll follow up this post with my account of the first experiment and will keep you posted from there as I continue each one. Wish me luck!
Do you believe in the law of attraction?
If you could gain more control over your life and future, would you want to? Or do you prefer to leave it all to chance and whatever’s “meant to be”?
Think of things in your life that you would like more control over, how you would alter energies around you, and goals you would like to meet (or exceed).
What things could you accomplish if you knew that the universe was on your side?
Would you focus on your career, education, personal life, money, love, travel?
