Porch Pirates and Ring Video Doorbell

Like you, I’ve seen numerous videos on the news and social media of people stealing packages from doorsteps in broad daylight. Yet, no matter how many of these videos I’d seen, I still hadn’t gotten Ring, the video doorbell service responsible for recording (and aiding in catching) these criminals! So, when it finally happened to me the other day, I realized that purchasing Ring was way past due and I need to get on it already!

Backstory: a package containing Christmas gifts for my kids was delivered and left on our doorstep the other day…only to be stolen moments later. Since we didn’t have Ring, we didn’t have any proof, like a recording of the person’s face that could then be turned over to the police. It’s a very creepy feeling knowing someone was right outside of the front door stealing stuff from us!

I decided to look into Ring a bit more and found some incredibly helpful info that I wanted to share with everyone right away!

Use the link below to get Ring’s free app called “Neighbors”, which has real-time alerts of crime and safety in your specific neighborhood. You’ll get a $10 credit towards Ring with this same link.

Here’s the best part: You do not need to have Ring to use their app!

Try the app and see how you like it. You can always delete it later, right? I just figure it’s better than nothing! At least with this app, you can stay up-to-date on any safety notifications in your area and our safety is a fast growing concern these days.

Feel free to share the link with your friends, family, and neighbors so they can get the app and the $10 credit.
